Report on the implementation of project tasks for 2019 and 2020 by FESTU

The general agreement on the participation of FESTU in the project “Economy, Ecology and Infrastructure on high-speed railways” was signed in March 2019. Modules from the TUD curriculum were selected for integration into the FESTU curriculum.

In September 2019, the Master’s program “Operation of transport and technological machines and complexes” was launched by FESTU. The program included 4 modules from the curricula of the TUD and PGUPS. Modules were taken from the TUD curriculum: Transportation Systems Theory, Modelling; Transport Ecology and its Processes I; Transport Safety and Control Technology. The module – High–Speed Railway Economics was taken from the curriculum of the PGUPS. During the education the teachers of FESTU used materials developed by the professors of TUD and PGUPS.

In 2019, the first students were enrolled in this program. All 5 students have successfully completed their studies. In July 2021, they received master’s degrees. Four out of five students have more than 85% of “excellent” grades in the diploma. In 2020, 5 students were also enrolled in the master’s program “Operation of transport and technological machines and complexes” with integrated modules.

In 2020 was started creation of the High-speed Railways laboratory. A laboratory project has been developed. At the expense of the grant funds, the “Mathematica” and “LabView” software was purchased and installed in the amount of 16,600 euros. The laboratory is being repaired at the expense of the FESTU funds computers and other equipment will be purchased.

During the 2021 the teachers were trained on the OPAL platform. Three teachers successfully passed the exams on the courses “Transport Ecology and its Processes I” and “Transport Safety and Control Technology” (Maksim Keyno, Chervotenko Elena, Stetsyuk Andrey).

The employees, who work in the project, were paid a salary at the expense of the grant funds. In the period up to 31/05/2020 8 employees were paid salaries for 117 days as RTT and 20 days as Management. The salary was fully paid at the end of 2020. At the period 01/06/2020 – 30/11/2020 the salary for 13 days as RTT and 5 days as management for 5 employees was approved.
