University of Economics in Katowice is the oldest state university in the highly urbanised Silesia region with 5 million inhabitants. Each year, about 11.000 students study here at five faculties: Business, Finance and Administration, Economics, Finance and Insurance, Informatics and Communication, and Management. Our education offer includes daily, evening and extramural studies. As a supplement to the above, there are also PhD studies for all the students who would like to explore further their fields of study or interest. University works intensively to expand its teaching offer in foreign languages, available to both local and foreign students. Currently, international exchange students have the possibility to choose courses in foreign languages offered by all our faculties. The co-operation with foreign countries is one of the most intensively developing activities of the University of Economics in Katowice. The University successfully combines rich tradition with innovative approach to academic challenges in order to strengthen its position of modern research, expertise and education centre. Our educational offer and lifelong learning programmes attract students from all over the world and from every generation. Due to the balance between academic strength and soft skills in our courses as well as professional career services the employability of our graduates is very high. We cherish relations with our local and international alumni engaging them in many activities on campus and in social media. We are proud to create today’s managers for tomorrow’s challenges.
